Christmas bomber

From the inbox:
Amazing. Kit Bond (R-Mo) was on MSNBC today, whining about the Obama administration releasing information on their SUCCESS in questioning the "Christmas bomber" (the one who attempted to ignite explosive material hidden in his underwear, on that international flight to Detroit).

As long as that information was kept quiet, the Republicans engaged in furious criticism of our dealing with him under the criminal justice system rather than by the military, claiming that national security was compromised by not using...what, torture?...instead of questioning by the FBI. Now that the administration has responded publicly, as they were forced to, that the bomber is talking freely to the FBI, the Republicans are in a rage that the administration contradicted them!

This is a familiar pattern -- fear-mongering on steroids. The Republicans are lock-step in using EVERY event or circumstance as an excuse to make a blatantly political attack on Obama. (You might have seen Sen. Olympia Snowe -- allegedly "moderate" Republican -- viciously attacking Obama on the KSM New York trial matter.) But Obama has dared to respond "You're wrong." The Republicans are apoplectic. I hope their doctors are standing by.
