Dean Baker's Right to Rent plan is the topic of a CNNMoney.com poll. Click here (and scroll down) to vote: http://moneyfeatures.blogs.money.cnn.com/2009/08/10/fixing-foreclosures-with-a-right-to-rent/

The Right to Rent plan [http://www.cepr.net/index.php/publications/reports/the-right-to-rent-plan/] would effectively deal with the mounting problem of home foreclosures in this country. The main point of the plan is that those who are facing foreclosure should have the option to remain in their home for a substantial period of time as renters. There are also numerous advantages in enacting Right to Rent legislation: it is simple, it can take effect immediately, it requires no taxpayer dollars, and it creates no new bureaucracy.
