Our troops like their single payer system....

I just got an email from IAVA:
For the past few weeks, the national debate over health care has flooded the airwaves. No matter what your political party or stance on the issue, one thing is certain.
Veterans' health care must be protected.
Hundreds of thousands of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans depend on the VA for care. And we want you to know that IAVA is committed to ensuring that all veterans continue to have full access to VA health care without penalty or cost- no matter what health care plan moves forward.
President Obama and VA Secretary Shinseki spoke this week on the issue, and they, along with congressional leaders from both parties, have assured IAVA that veterans' health care will not be affected by any changes to our national health care.
If single payer is such a bad thing why would this email be going out?  Keep in mind--and Lynn Westmoreland might actually want to look into this because he doesn't know what he's talking about when he discusses this issue--there is no bill that can pass that would introduce a single payer system as Obama has pledged to block it.

I've actually seen a number of instances where veterans are quoted as saying something to the effect of:  don't touch my health care.

hmmm.... make what you will.
