just a side note on the British Elections

I keep seeing comments about what a great job Gordon Brown did dealing with the economic crisis.  Granted he was helped by the fact that the UK isn't tied to the Euro.  But I'm interested in why this issue isn't holding more sway with voters--especially at a time when the Greek crisis is front in center in the news.
 
Is that too much of an abstraction?
